For the Glory of God

Led by the Holy Spirit, we are building a community of disciples of Christ, by worshiping weekly, growing in groups, sharing God’s Word, and serving others.  Our vision is to transform lives through God’s Holy love. Worship on Sundays at 9:30 a.m. Watch us live on Facebook or YouTube. We are a Global Methodist congregation.

Transforming lives through God’s Holy love

About Us

Worship Sundays at 9:30 a.m.

Located in the Park West neighborhood, Point Hope offers a worship experience for everyone.

Have you ever felt that church can be boring? Reverend Elizabeth Sullivan brings energy and humor to her messages with sermon series revolving around modern themes such as finding God’s messages in secular movies, the stories behind the songs we sing, and famous people with stories about their faith in God. One thing that is fairly unique to our area is having a female in the role of pastor.

Sermon Series

The summer Sermon Series is The Church Jesus is Building. Don't be surprised by the church Jesus is building! Hint: no mortar and stone are needed... but he sure can use some people!  What's your role and how can you help?

On Sundays at 9:30 a.m. we have a blended service with a choir and hymns, contemporary favorites with our praise team, and kid’s Sunday school for ages 4k-5th. We also have a nursery each Sunday. We stream live on Facebook and YouTube! Point Hope is a Global Methodist congregation.

Student Ministry

Students meet for food, fellowship, devotionals, and lots of fun! We meet off-campus for fun activities such as pickleball and TopGolf. Students are also encouraged to serve their community (community service opportunities available)! High school students meet on Sundays at 3 p.m. and middle school joins them later at 4 p.m. Friends are always invited! For more info, contact Associate Minister Derek Street.

The M.O.R.E. Campaign

This capital campaign is not about buildings or budgets—it’s about belief. It’s about trusting that God has MORE in store for Point Hope Church—more people who need to know God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit, more lives to be changed, more families to be healed, and more opportunities to shine the light of Christ in our community and around the globe! We are humbled and deeply blessed to share that Mt. Horeb Church has recognized our courage and mission, and has sown generously into our future with a gift of $75,000. Their belief in what God can do through this church is a beautiful testimony of kingdom partnership and true connection. Now, I ask you to prayerfully consider this question: Can we match—or even exceed—what Mt. Horeb has given? Click here for more information or to contribute.

Go on the ultimate Alaskan adventure where northern lights glow over majestic mountains, racing rivers, and glistening glaciers. As kids trek the tundra, they’ll explore how easy it is to lose sight of what’s true in our wild world today. Pointing them toward Jesus, True North shows them that he is a faithful friend we can always trust. He’s our True North!

Register here to be a camper or to volunteer.

Missions

A new mission of Point Hope is helping with the Holy City Missions To-Go Soup Kitchen. We will prepare a meal that will be served the second Monday of each month. If you would like to help prepare the meal, there is a sign-up sheet on the blue table in the Gathering Hall. The meal prep dates are on the following Saturdays- July 12, August 9, September 6 at Holy City Missions at 1444 Remount Road.

Fearfully and
wonderfully made.

At Point Hope, we strive to ensure that children of all ages have an opportunity to experience God’s love and grow as individuals both spiritually and as a contributing part of our congregation.

FOR GOD’s GLORY

Welcome
to hope.

Point Hope was established in 2002 in response to the population growth of northern Mount Pleasant.

Led by Rev. Elizabeth Sullivan, our doors are always open to anyone seeking a place to worship, connect and serve. We strive to create a warm and inviting environment at Point Hope and that everyone who walks through our doors feels God’s presence.

Point Hope is a place where individuals and families can discover the love of God, the grace of Jesus Christ and the presence of the Holy Spirit.
