For the Glory of God

Led by the Holy Spirit, we are building a community of disciples of Christ, by worshiping weekly, growing in groups, sharing God’s Word, and serving others.  Our vision is to transform lives through God’s Holy love. Worship on Sundays at 9:30 a.m. Watch us live on Facebook or YouTube. We are a Global Methodist congregation.

Transforming lives through God’s Holy love

About Us

Worship Sundays at 9:30 a.m.

Located in the Park West neighborhood, Point Hope offers a worship experience for everyone. On Sundays at 9:30 a.m. we have a blended service with a choir and hymns, contemporary favorites with our praise team, and kid’s Sunday school for ages 4k-5th. We also have a nursery each Sunday. We stream live on Facebook and YouTube! Point Hope is a Global Methodist congregation.

Have you ever felt that church can be boring? Reverend Elizabeth Sullivan brings energy and humor to her messages with sermon series revolving around modern themes such as finding God’s messages in secular movies, the stories behind the songs we sing, and famous people with stories about their faith in God. One thing that is fairly unique to our area is having a female in the role of pastor.

Lent Series & Holy Week

ASH Wednesday through palm sunday

Focusing on his humanity—especially his experiences of suffering, rejection, and isolation—this Lenten reader, Jesus the Stranger, helps us relate our own struggles and humanness to his. As we journey with Jesus toward the cross, we are met by our Savior, who lived and fully understands our pain and sorrow—who offers healing, the healing of holy love.

Go on the ultimate Alaskan adventure where northern lights glow over majestic mountains, racing rivers, and glistening glaciers. As kids trek the tundra, they’ll explore how easy it is to lose sight of what’s true in our wild world today. Pointing them toward Jesus, True North shows them that he is a faithful friend we can always trust. He’s our True North!

Register here to be a camper or to volunteer.

Missions

A new mission of Point Hope is helping with the Holy City Missions To-Go Soup Kitchen. We will prepare a meal that will be served the second Monday of each month. The entree for April is Red Beans, Rice and Sausage. We will be collecting butter, beans, sausage, and beef stock through April 6th.

Fearfully and
wonderfully made.

At Point Hope, we strive to ensure that children of all ages have an opportunity to experience God’s love and grow as individuals both spiritually and as a contributing part of our congregation.

FOR GOD’s GLORY

Welcome
to hope.

Point Hope was established in 2002 in response to the population growth of northern Mount Pleasant.

Led by Rev. Elizabeth Sullivan, our doors are always open to anyone seeking a place to worship, connect and serve. We strive to create a warm and inviting environment at Point Hope and that everyone who walks through our doors feels God’s presence.

Point Hope is a place where individuals and families can discover the love of God, the grace of Jesus Christ and the presence of the Holy Spirit.
